In the heart of Southern Africa lies Lesotho, a small, mountainous country known for its breath-taking landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

It is here that Moutsoe Mohlalisi, the visionary founder of Media Lab Multimedia Production, has launched an ambitious and vibrant project that seeks to blend the worlds of music, travel and culture into an unforgettable experience.

This project, known as Groove Galaxy, is set to revolutionize how Basotho perceive and engage with their country’s offerings.

Launched on July 19, the dynamic multimedia production company is a culmination of passionate professionals, including seasoned broadcasters and multimedia experts who aim to captivate audiences.

Groove Galaxy’s first DJ mix series premiered on this date at Fuleng Guest House, setting the stage for an ongoing project that promises new mixes and videos at least once a month.

The guest house is said to be conveniently located in the heart of Lower Moyeni in Quthing District offering a range of services including event hosting, conferences, accommodation, a dining hall, a braai area, a bar, and a garden.

Each release is more than just a musical experience; it is an immersive journey through the breath-taking landscapes and vibrant culture of Lesotho.

“Lesotho’s diverse topography, from its highlands to its lowlands, serves as the stunning backdrop for Groove Galaxy,” he said adding that each mix is recorded at various picturesque locations across the country, capturing the essence of its natural beauty and cultural richness.

This careful selection of sites allows the project to showcase the full range of Lesotho’s scenic and cultural diversity.

The DJ mix series featured DJ and Producer Scott_2407 mixing and mastering the decks on its premier episode, he promised listeners a sonic journey with locally brewed music.

Accompanying the mixes are high definition videos and photos that showcase Lesotho’s tourist and hospitality spots.

“By highlighting the country’s hidden gems, the project seeks to draw attention to Lesotho’s potential as a tourism destination and boost its tourism industry,” Mohlalisi said.

The team believes that music, infused with visual storytelling, can create a powerful experience that resonates with both local and international audiences.

The Groove Galaxy team travels to various locations across Lesotho, setting up their DJ equipment in some of the most picturesque and culturally significant spots.

“Each mix is carefully curated to reflect the ambiance of the location, blending traditional and modern sounds,” he continued adding that the production process involves capturing high-quality audio and video, which are then shared on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

The team’s expertise in broadcasting and multimedia production ensures that each release is polished and professional, offering an immersive experience for the audience.

The innovative project is a testament to the power of music and visual storytelling in promoting and preserving cultural heritage while simultaneously boosting tourism.

By taking listeners and viewers on a journey through the hidden treasures of Lesotho, Groove Galaxy is said to aim at create a lasting impact that transcends borders and unites people through the shared love of music and travel.
