Lemohang LintSa, the standout striker for Limkokwing University Football Club (LUFC), has made a remarkable impact in his debut season in the Vodacom Premier League (VPL). At 32, LintSa has already clinched the prestigious Golden Boot award, marking a significant milestone in his football career.

The prolific striker became last season top scorer after netting 19 goals , while in addition, his performances were integral to LUFC’s success in their debut season in the top flight He was also voted Players Player of the year award. The Two awards earned him M25,500 in total ( M12 000 and M13 000 respectively).

In an interview with the Weekly Observer, LintSa expressed his delight at the accolade. “On a personal level, I am really happy for these awards, especially because it’s my first season in the premier league,” he shared. “These awards motivate me and show that it’s possible to achieve more regardless of where you are. I will have to work even harder because it’s not going to be easy at all.”

LintSa’s achievements have not only highlighted his talent but also fueled his ambitions for the future. While he remains a player for LUFC, he harbors dreams of playing internationally. “For now, I can’t say yes or no about a move. I’m still a player at LUFC, but it all depends on the LUFC family. I’ve always wished to play outside the country, though my age might be a problem for that move,” he said.

As captain, LintSa’s leadership and determination have been pivotal in his success and the team’s performance. His outstanding season in the VPL underscores his dedication and skill, setting a high bar for the seasons to come.
